Synergy Health Consulting is Ocala’s Premier Functional Medical Care Practice. Founded by Debora Donahue, ARNP-BC, Family Nurse Practitioner in 2012. Debora discovered her love for being a nurse in 1986 while completing the LPN and Associate Degree program in Sedalia, Missouri. She then spent many years in Indianapolis working in the Pediatric ICU, Adult ICU, and Neuro ICU as a Registered Nurse, planting her desire to learn more about how the human body works as well as continuing to help people get well. She completed the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program in 1996 and then the Family Nurse Practitioner program in 1997 to begin her mission to help her patients achieve and maintain a quality lifestyle. Her insatiable desire as a life-long learner took her to the functional medicine side of medical practice. Pathophysiology is her favorite topic. She has completed certificates in Functional Medicine, Hypnotherapy, Coaching, and even the MPS Pain Therapy modality. She enjoys using behavior modification and cognitive behavioral change techniques to assist her patients to initiate and maintain lifestyle changes. When not in the learning mode, Debora enjoys cooking new recipes, relaxing with friends and family, and spending time outdoors on the water.
